"In honor of jpee"
Yes and no. I enjoy driving, and esp. in top down, cooler evening during summer. Trouble is 2 fold for Corvette tho: first, there's all the junk on the roads which you can barely see in daytime if it comes flying up from another car. At nite, it's invisible either way.
And second, is driving on unfamiliar streets (not highways, usually) where there are these large dips in the road. Bottoming out with the "early warning system (aka, the front lip) is ok. Somewhat. But bottoming out and crunching the radiator braces is not ok, and it's something to be concerned about.

the later the more there are of them......not enjoyable at all anymore...oh yes add an occasional drive-by shooter, hidden law enforcement folks, potholes you can't see until it is too late all contribute to driving my vette experience at night

Strange people follow me
I love driving at night but have found guys following me. It’s sad that I beg my husband or son to ride with me. I once was followed by a motorcycle. It creeps me out, if you can’t tell. I try to ignore people driving next to me. I should carry but really don’t want to lug around my Sig. however, Leaving it at home won’t help me either.

Ancient thread but I will contribute.
I thought other drivers only expect to see middle age men in gold chains going through a mid-life crisis in a vette. Shouldn't notice you.
Is there anything on the car that makes others look for a woman inside? Way back in college at Texas A&M, I gave my woman an "Aggie Girlfriend" bumper sticker. It drew too much attention.
Hopefully the idiot guys don't go cause you to wish for a handgun, but as a license-to-carry Texan, I am all for it if you feel threatened. Just don't flash the Sig indiscriminately.

Yep, I enjoy driving at night on a nice summer evening with the top down, but I don't like all the critters in this neck of the woods that jump to in front of you. Haven't hit any yet, but had a few close calls.
