Back when I had a C4 it was interesting, other C1, C2, C3, and C4s would almost always wave back, C6s usually waved, but C5s seemed to have a grudge and rarely waved. My wife and I even started to joke about it, "oh, a C5"....
Now a couple years later it seems a few, no a lot of the C5 stuck ups are driving C6s. Well I have a C6 now and I'm almost embarassed about the C6 drivers. I guess to many the Corvette is not the dream I have always considered it and just a car to them.
Another thread just brought this front and center, the funny thing is they come on here and talk the talk but won't wave the wave...
C6 here, and wave at every generation Corvette I see!
Out of all of them, it seems like I get far less waves back from C5's than any other generation. Just my experience though!
I always wave. Unfortunately I'd say I receive a wave back less than 50% of the time. A lot of this has to do with the commuting hour: I don't think other Vette drivers are in the "wave" mode when they are trying to navigate traffic onto the freeway, etc. Sometimes I wonder if they don't notice me (hard to believe they wouldn't see an Atomic Orange C6).
Even still, many times the other driver is looking RIGHT AT ME when I wave and they just stare back in a dumb sort of way. Always makes me a little sad when the wave isn't returned.
Most of the other Corvetes I come across do wave, I do notice however that almost none of the women driving wave! Maybe we should do a poll on this subject?
I always wave and typically get 75%-80% wavebacks, and find that the "older than middle aged" ladies never wave around here. The gents pretty much always wave if they see you.
Last week, I saw folks in mini's wave when passing. Do they have a wave too?
Folks in our local s2k club/s2ki.com community flash "two on the brights" to each other.
