To open the doors from the inside with no power simply pull up on the manual levers on the floor next to the door.
To open the car from the outside with no power use the key. The key entry is above the license plate. There is a pull tab inside the trunk on the left side to manually open the driver's door from the trunk.
Why do you want to mess with jump start... going to the dealer... and shell out MORE money on the same CRAP battery you just had... Just go to Auto Zone, get a battery, 3 year free replacement, and 7 year warranty... install it and be done. Just my .02.
Is your car a 2005 with a manual transmission where it has to be parked in reverse? "No fob detected" could mean your fob battery is dying or dead. I'd first try moving the fob around in different positions to see if it can be recognized; I'd try using your other fob to see if it works; and, I'd put a new battery in one or both fobs just to be sure they're good.
If the car battery is weak or dead, you may be able to jump start the car. If your battery is bad, I'd have it checked and replaced if necessary. I had to replace the battery in my 2005 C6 after 3+ years of trouble-free service. IMO that's about all you can expect from a battery. You will have to re-index your windows after changing the battery. I strongly suggest you read your owner's manual. Good luck.
If you didn't know how to get out, you may also not know how to turn off the dome lamps on the mirror. Since it's an 07, you DON'T need to be in reverse like the 05's. Just changing the battery without checking what caused it is a mistake. Have a professional check your charging system.

Reason: I knew that as I have an 07. I'm a screw up!!!

FYI, the OE battery is made to higher compliance specifications than an aftermarket replacement battery. Battery warranty is a function of marketing, not batter quality.

This is very true. I always replace with the OEM battery and have real good luck with them.
Did you try sticking the fob in the slot in the glovebox? Your battery isn't dead since it is telling you it can't detect the fob. It could also be a sensor in the vehicle that is covered under warranty. Do you have the accessories working (pushing the bottom of the starter button)? If so you may be able to check the battery's volts. If that doesn't work, jump start it, get it to the dealer and let them fix it. It may not be the battery. Reading the owner's manual would be a real good idea also.

Not true. I can tell you from personal experience that the vehicle battery can be low enough so as not to be able to crank nor even work the door solenoids yet still have the DIC display that no FOBs are recognized.
As a matter of fact, the vehicle battery can be low enough as to cause all sorts of strange behavior
Since it's an 07, you need to be in reverse like the 05's.
NO! NO! NO! That's incorrect. Manual tranny 07s don't have to be put in reverse to prevent battery failure. Read the manual and show me where the 07 manual says that. It's just suggested that you put it in reverse.

Parking Your Vehicle
(Manual Transmission)
Before you get out of your vehicle, move the shift lever
into REVERSE (R) and firmly apply the parking
brake. Once the shift lever has been placed into
REVERSE (R) with the clutch pedal pressed in, you
can turn the ignition off and release the clutch. If
you attempt to exit the vehicle without being in
REVERSE (R), the Driver Information Center (DIC) will
display SHIFT TO REVERSE and a chime will sound.
Notice: If you do not put a manual transmission in
REVERSE (R) before exiting your vehicle, the
battery will drain and could be damaged. Always put
a manual transmission in REVERSE (R) before
shutting off the engine and exiting the vehicle.

Thanks so much to all of you
You mean when you TRY to start the car, yes? It doesn't actually crank, correct?
Putting the FOB in the slot in the glovebox with NOT solve your problem. The car's battery is low.

Sorry about that typo. I have an 07 MZ6. Thanks for that. I'm an idiot!
