Default Corsa Extremes w/C6 A6?

I currently am running the paddle shift version of the Corsa Sports. I'm looking for a bit more "sound" but of course, trying to stay clear of drone. Anyone who owns or has heard the extremes on an A6 (hopefully where they have kept the paddle shift resonators), please give me your thoughts. I know it is subjective, however good muscular exhaust and droning exhaust are different characters. Before I start ordering things I may regret, your experiences would be appreciated.

i've got the sports with mine and there's no drone. the extremes will be a tad louder though i've never personally heard them. as for the resonators...i talked to a corsa guy at their headquarters and he said they no longer make that mid-pipe that the earlier versions, for the a6, needed. it's done in the mufflers alone now. call them to confirm. all corsa models claim no-drone and i know it's true of the sports, which i love, so the extremes should be no different.

I have the Xtremes with an A6. There is a little drone in 6th gear around the 1600 to 1800 rpm range. I then added headers, x-pipe with hi flow cats. Now the drone is actually less since the headers changed the pitch of the exhaust sound slightly.

Default Corsa Xtreme

DO NOT put the Corsa Xtreme on a paddle shifter! Read the last sentence in the MidAmerica catalog "Not recommended for automatics"

I made an expensive $$$ mistake. Put on the Xtreme before I read the ad. The cockpit noise is unbearable. Went back to stock after 400 mi.

The Xtreme is now collecting dust in the garage.

If you know anyone who wants to buy it cheap lemme know.

I purchased Corsa Sports in 2005 while at Carlisle for my 05 6 spd mnl. I traded in for an 08 auto and kept the same exhaust. It has a stronger sound at low speeds but doesn't drone (imo) at cruising speed. I like it but it could be bothersome to some. But what isn't?
