I have gotten use to the bozos that always want to race when the see the Vette but do they really know how much power the Vette really has? My guess is they have no freaking clue. This week I had some 3xxi taunting me to race, which I had no intention to do but I believe this idiot had no clue on what a Vette could do. It's hard not to show them sometimes.
I know exactly what you mean and yes many of them do know what power the Vette has, and that is what they want a free display of power of a car they can not beat nor own. You are doing the right thing, let them get their thrills someplace else.
However, they've bought into the notion of air intake +15hp,exhaust +25 hp,chip +50hp etc....so now their 300hp car has become a 400hp car in their minds and they want to see how they stack up against a Vette.

There are sheep in wolves clothing and then there are wolves in sheep clothing. Most "racing" invitations are just a sign of respect. It has been my experience they know how much horse power you have, their only question is do you know how to use it. Just having 400+HP doesn't mean you can win the race, nor do you know what they have under the hood. Anyway, your smart for not street racing-no good can ever come from that behavior.
I don't suggest you find out on the street but you might be surprised...there are some very fast little whatever's driving around. Never overestimate your car or underestimate the competition...IMO that's a sure fire recipe for humiliation.

I agree 100%. I know there are lot's of cars faster than my stock C6 within a few miles of my house...and I own one of them. For me, my C6 is a better all around car than most of them but it isn't as dominating as people on here think it is. Sorry in advance for any hurt feelings.
