I don't find the upkeep on them to be that bad. I have a set of SP500's on my 06 vert. If you get down on your hands and knees and lean at the right angle with the sun coming over your right shoulder, you might see some microscopic scratches. Other than that, I think mine look great. My biggest complaint is that the barrels are polished and they are difficult to clean and dry when washing the car. They get rust and dirt on them from inside the rotor vanes after a wash and have to be wiped down. If I ever take them off or buy another set, I would seriously consider having the barrels powder coated in a dark silver so cleaning them wouldn't be necessary.
www.wheelwax.com is your friend...........apply after shining them up and it will seriously cut down on polishing.
Never heard of wheelwax and how long does this last before another application is required.
On keeping the CCWs looking good I make sure I do my best on drying the entire rim after washing to include the barrels and I use a leaf blower to get most of the water off the rims. I put my CCWs on in December and just took them off last weekend to clean and ours is a Daily Driver so they need more attention. I used Mothers wheel polish and then sealed with Rejex

It all depends on how the car is used.............
Mine were daily drivers, applied the wheel wax whenever I waxed the rest of the car.......On a non daily driven car I'd imagine once or twice a year would be sufficient.

I like the CCW polished finish for it’s more subdued bling factor (versus chrome) and because they require far less maintenance. I wash my polished wheels and then simply wipe them down with a towel (I also hit them with compressed air on occasion). John at CCW once told me to go-over them with a chrome polish every once in a while if I wanted.
Realize polished wheels are not chrome...they're not supposed to look exactly like chrome. If I had chrome wheels I'd feel compelled to keep them polished to a mirror finish at all times….with a polished finish I don’t have to do this. They look fine with minimal maintenance. Enjoy the polished finish wheels for what they are.
I use that Wheel Wax on my Firehawk's chrome iForged Aero's, it's some great stuff and is VERY VERY easy to apply and remove. I will be using it on my Vette's SP500's as well.
