Default Do GM Splash Guards Protect Enough? Yes.

Was just out polishing the car and decided to see if there are any marks on the car behind the rear splash guards after 5000 miles. None!
.

.

That should answer the question as to whether or not they provide enough protection besides being inconspicuous.

nice....I wish I had seen this about a year and a half ago......before the road rash

I guess the best thing to do now, is use one of those "paint chip fixer" kits and install the guards before getting more damage

Would someone please tell me how far out from the bottom of the fenders do the splash guards stick out? Thanks.

17K miles on mine, no splash guards, daily driver even during the winter, and mine looks just like that also. Its only in the front right behind the wheels where I can see a few very small nicks/marks, but the rear is perfect.

I wish they had only come out sooner... The Altecs I had on for over a year left creases(marks) in my paint that are visible with the new smaller splash guards. I might have to get a pro to buff them out?

I have CCW wheels with Z06 size tires which stick out a tad wider than stock. With the GM guards theres not a mark front or back.

Thanks for posting real life experience. They are certainly enough coverage.
