2" drop in the back. I installed these only in the back because you get more drop in the front with turning the bolts all the way down, i'm already low enough in the front.
lol, that was more as a sarcastic response to the dinosaur. Not stiffer, but better on corners and off ramps.... no curves per se in south FL other than off ramps. I've never bottomed out, never had bone jarring. David
I paid $140 last weekend to have my lowered and it wasnt worth it, do it yourself. just like everyone is saying the front im happy with but the rear didnt hardly move. It was so little I jacked the car up myself on both rear sides just to double check their work. And the screws where bottomed out. So I ordered a set of the pads fom ecklers and already got them in so im just going to try them on the back to see how that looks. First I gotta wait til next wed. to take it to the dealership to check out the driver side rear because im hearing a slight knocking sound coming from by the tire when at a slow roll. Im worried if I install the pads they will try to give me some crap about my warranty for whatever they find making the noise. But all in all I should have done it myself bucause it was easy as hell when I did it to double check their work.
it's not "stiffer" but it will bottom out the suspension more which is pretty jarring depending on how bad the bump / hole and your speed.
Lowering, or raising, the trim height doesn't change the spring rate, but it sure changes the amount of suspension travel before the car hits the end of travel with a bang.
It's done. Lowered the rear all the way. Turned out to be 1/2" with the bolts all the way out. The fronts 1/4". Looks a lot better. It's rainy today, so will post pics tomorrow.
BTW, it was very easy. I used a roll on lift with undercarriage jacks. The instructions from Vetteweb were right on.
Well Im not gonna try to do this myself, besides, I dont have jacks or the tools on hand.
Any place in Broward recommended for mod?
I noticed the bolts from some vendors dont have a bushing around the head of the bolt while C6 performance (C5Racer) bolts do, any opinions?
HPSales in Pomp says a $125 with stock bolts leaving me about an inch of clearance. They said an alignment is needed. (PS They dont do the alignment)
I don't know about Broward. But if you go to Hialeah, about 20min depending where in Broward your at, I would recomend MAK Performance. It's were I get all my work done.

Yes. All I did was loosen the bolts. Drove it. Checked it and adjusted it. If i had to do it again, i'd do it in 10 min. If i used the same lift. BTW, no sqweeks.
Cut the bushings 75% and turned up the stock bolts. But it sounds like there is a mouse in the back. I was told if some of the bushings are left no squeaks...
The squeaks come only when driving level and straight. I dont hear anything going over humps and driveways, or hard turns, hmmmm.
Also for those of you who said "no alignment needed" well, my car was straight as an arrow prior to dropping it. Took straight to an alignment shop and the print out was off the charts! Get an alignment!

I arranged lowering with custom bolts ordered before even taking possession of my C6.
Do it do it do it.........she is so much more pleasing lowered. Trust me. And slowing down and approaching the Tim Hortons at a 45 degree angle slowly is not ambarrasing, it is fun.

My rears squeaked right after. The rubber need time to settle, I also sprayed the he'll out of both rears with WD 40 and not one squeak 3000 miles later. As for olddog he need to stop pissing on ever thread that deals with lowering a c6. The guy has stated the he would purchase bolts to raise his car if they were available.
