Hello, I'm new here, and I've got some bad news. I was headed to the beach today when a motorcycle in front of me got sideswiped by a car, the rider sprawled out on the asphalt and I had to swerve into the median to avoid running him over. Luckily he was conscious and responsive, with his insides still inside, when he was hauled away to the hospital. Unfortunately I'm left with the aftermath. The radiator is hanging by the hoses, the fiberglass on the underside has a huge gash in it, and the drivers side is scratched pretty much all the way down. A few pics are posted in my album. If anyone has any recommendations for a repair shop in the Raleigh, NC area, please let me know.

You did not wreck you vette man, you were a victim of circumstance. Actually you saved that guys life. I would say 75% of drivers would have hit the guy. You are a lifesaver my freind and you should feel good !!You did what you had to do.
-Did you get the plat for the person who pulled out in front of the biker, he is at fault here?
I'm sorry about the damage. It's small consolation but be thankful nobody was seriously injured and the damage wasn't worse. I hope it's an easy fix. Try to enjoy the holiday weekend as best you can.
Glad to hear you are alright. You did the right thing. This is what insurance is for! I hope to see your car looking like new in no time. Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear that, but glad you thought fast enough to avoid the biker.
As far as a body shop, look up Haddock Collision. I've never used them personally, but my father works for a WV dealer and they have always had great work done by them. I've also heard nothing but good things about Haddock from others who have used them. I went to them for an estimate to repair a very small crack and they were very nice and professional. They really seem to know their business and they don't cut corners. The price was reasonable, but I decided to live with it for now...eventually I'll probably get the work done by them.

Doesnt look terribily bad. Very fixable. New front bumper, floor pans, front lower rad support, and repair/rapaint the drivers side and back bumper. Gravy work we love at my shop.

+1,
I guarantee you a body would have done more damage to your car and your mental state.
