I hit a piece of tire at about 60MPH. It did not look too bad, but when the car went up on the lift, we saw that the under part of the front clip was cracked. I had to replace it and the clear bra at a cost of over$2000.
. The other thing that causes problems is those lane-change bumps which are not good for over-inflated tires.

Wow, just tonight on my way home from work, I had to slalom around multiple chunks of tire/gators over a 1/2 mile to mile distance. Truck must have blown a couple tires and just kept going as the continued to shred.
I was glad I wasn't driving the Vette today.
