You should get plenty of feedback on this, some suggesting change the oil, inflate the tires, as for me I just hook-up a battery tender and put the cover on the car. In the Spring I check to see if the tire pressure is okay and that is about it. So far no issues.

Thanks for bringing this up as I live in South Dakota and will soon be storing my C6 as well...... sigh!! :o(
For me it will be in a heated garage so I believe I will just keep the battery tender on, put some carpet squares under the wheels and put a whole bunch of mouse deterant products around it and call it good.
This method seem to work good for my wife '66 mustang GT for the past 10 years but thought I'd check.
Stabil is another one of those "snake oil" products that you get scared into thinking you need. Modern gasoline will can be stored for 6-8 months with zero issues. Not going to hurt a thing if you use it, but it is really not necessary when you store your car, or anything that uses gasoline, for the winter.
Battery tender, 5-10 psi of extra air in the tires, rubber pads under the tires and a car cover is all I use.
Will I run into problems if I have to remove the battery for the winter? I know about the window re-indexing, but will there be any major issues if the C6 has no power for 5 months?
I may have to put my C6 in storage this winter with no access to power for a charger. I’m in the process of building a new 4-car garage, but I’m hung up in a damn zoning variation and I don’t think it will be resolved in time to get it built before winter.

I agree - but I do put a bottle of Techron in when I put it away and a bottle of gas dryer in in the spring. I also put in a second bottle of Techron after the winter tank is used. I maintain the air at 30 cold all winter (gives me a reason to monkey with the car ) I will also "wax" the car two or three times - just for practice
Where will it be stored? Will it be in the cold? Will you have access to it? How often? Will you be able to drive it at all?
The car will be stored in garage, cold 32 f, and I will have access everyday.
I figured on changing the oil before storage, adding gas stabilizer, covering the car and plugging up the intake and exhaust.
About every month I will charge the battery and then start the car for 20 minutes.
