Default Protecting front bumper

What advice would you guys give me for the cheapest and not too noticeable way to protect the front end of the car on a 600 mile trip? Clear tape, painters tape?

Rocks will probably penetrate clear tape or painters tape. If you don't want to go for the expence of a 3M clear bra [about $500], then I would suggest an inexpensive nose mask, for about $100-150.

It's not something everyone needs IMO. It really depends on your specific driving conditions.

I see absolutely no need whatsoever to "protect" the front end. At 30k miles, my '05 front bumper looks terrific, but I drive exclusively on great California roads.

if you lived in colorado and do not have clear bra in 30 k miles you would have replaced about 3 windshields by now and your car would be sand blasted!

I suppose I should point out that the bumper is behind a plastic cover, called a fascia, on the C6. That plastic protects the bumper from most bug strikes and rock chips.

Yeah My bumper looks great it's the cover that's beat all to hell.

J/K The Fascia still looks new so far.

I would just get the GM Bra for $100.00 and use only for long trips.

'bout every 30k miles, some bozo hits the front end of my car and it gets replaced.
Works for me...
