I know latches were changed half way through the 08 model and I've had these latches installed on my 08 since it was an early model, were other improvements made so that the 08 roofs would not be susceptible to the issues described by Cyber2010?
My 09 vette had the old latches ,. I just had the new latches installed.
oh really? how did you get any C6 ZO6 with a targa panel? I have never heard of a Z06 having it's roof replaced
Do a search and have a plate of crow while you are doing it. The Z06 is not a targa roof but it still has a separable roof panel that bolts in place at the factory. The MY2006 and early production 2007 Z06 and targa roof coupes as well as MY2005 targa roof coupes had roof skins of polycarbonate material. GM did not use a reliable adhesive for adhering to the polycarbonate plastic. GM was forced to go back to SMC plastic for painted roof panels for Z06 and targa roof coupes. Your search will show that plenty of Z06 roofs have separated along with the painted targa roof coupes in the past 3-1/2 years. Merry Christmas.
No, it effects all C6's in the model year range listed on the notice.
OK, that makes me wonder, now that the European importer for Caddilac, Corvette and Hummer went belly up some time ago, how are they going to contact European owners, aka ME ?? Is there an address that you can register for this notice.

Fred - I see that you live in The Netherlands and have a 2005 coupe. With a painted roof, it is affected regardless of what the current NHTSA might state as this problem has existed from the very start of the C6 generation in MY2005 until early production units in MY2007. Are you the original owner?? If so, then you know whether or not your car has been ever safety inspected. If you bought used, a GM dealer somewhere should be able to check the service record for your VIN to see if the roof has ever been inspected or replaced. With the climate in The Netherlands, you might be fortunate and never have your roof fail. The adhesive fails as a function of heat and humidity. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you as to who you can contact as an European owner. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.

I'm the second owner, I bought the car from a friendly German Corvette enthusiast. I have tried to contact GM to see what has been done to my car, but I can't get hold of anyone who has the info, or they ware not willing to share it. To make matters worse the European importer went bankrupt ( Kroymans ) and so far to my knowledge there is no new company that took over the European GM business. So if it effects my car, I have no idea, it could be. I can only hope that they have access to the data that Kroymans had, I was a registered owner there. This is an interesting thread that I will follow closely.

Too many morons in this forum to expect any thanks for posting pertinent information.
Next up will be some nauseating drivel posted by one of the technicrat lackeys for GM rationalizing what a great job GM did in overcoming all the monumental impediments in the previous uncharted technocracy of building a roof panel with only two massive recalls extending over three years.
If the Japanese version of NHTSA hadn't stepped in, flying roofs on a Corvette would still be turning the car into the same kind of laughing stock as exploding gas tanks on a Pinto. GM can't figure that out without the help of foreigners.
The OP could be right because the original recall and repair process was flawed. My roof got the injected foam glue and it held for a while but eventually failed and became delaminated. I think many other owners who had their roofs reglued could be driving with a roof that could fail again.
To the OP, thanks for posting, this is good info and appreciated.
Although I never had a problem with my 07 (purchased in late 06), I'm curious what this recall will mean for me as I don't want to replace my existing roof if there is no problem.
