That's the second serious crash we've had here recently. The one before was a supercharged C5 that was on a demo drive for a potential buyer. The seller (driver) was killed when they hit a tree.
Lately, we have been having way too many crashes of Corvettes, what are these drivers thinking? It seems that they have NO RESPECT for the speed and control of these cars. Many have been from stupidity, no questions about it. Gosh, they are making us ALL look bad!
Where are all of the preachers that are always critical of young drivers and their reckless ways. Two recent posts and both drivers were over 50. You old guys better slow it down.

It's sems very unlikely that he was doing 150 on the PCH at 10pm, you would crash well before reaching that speed due to traffic alone. Given the exaggeraton about the car being a ZR1 an exaggeraton about the speed seems likely. The level of damage and injuries dont seem consistent with a 150mph crash either... In any case I''m sure he was going fast.
There is no way that car crashed at 150. How would the speed have been determined so soon? The speed was probably just an exaggerated claim made by a witness.
The news folks wanting to make it seem worse?! Never! Say it's not so! ha!
If they cannot even get the car right, but make up a model that sounds tough, makes you wonder if the car was really brand new or if they really know he was going 150.
Regardless, what a jerk, drinking and driving and running into someone like that.
