It certainly will! Can you say "VOIDED WARRANTY"?!! At least it did in the first year of that car.
For those who have used LC, did your clutch smell really bad after using it? Was trying it out in a friend's car last night and I'm not sure if LC was actually engaging and it smelled like we were frying his clutch instead.
Regardless, you're still going to spin too much if you rev to 4000 and dump on street tires...
If you had a sticky tire though, launch control I bet could help a bit more..
True but the wheel spin helps save your differential and drive train. When those sticky tires hook at a 4000-5000 RPM drop you greatly increase the odds of breaking something.

I always thought it 'curious' that I can seemingly over-power traction control. Even with TC on it doesn't take much effort to light 'em up. I know TC is working too. No matter...I don't do many high RPM launches off-the-line and my golden rule has always been to shutoff TC when going WOT. I don't want the system fighting my effort to accelerate. I'll feather the throttle if need be.
I just tried mine this past weekend at the track....It works like crap.....I followed the directions and then at the launch the car spun through first, bounced, then second still spinning ..I let it off.....On my own I was able to get 1.9 60 fts....stock tires, no prep on the track. Was able to get consistent 12.20's at 120mph. however, using launch control resulted in 14 second passes at 106 mph...(twice)......not impressed
Looking to see if there are more out there who have actually tried it out. If you have do you really just dump the clutch in one shot? Isn't this burning up the clutch?
Essentially Yes....you basically dump the clutch....and the engine is supposed to go to 4K and then the TC should modulate the power to the back wheels.....In my case it does not work like that....It just spins
Launch control is hit and miss. I've gotten a good launch using launch control and when it launched at 4000 -4500rpms and dumped the clutch. It did what it advertised. Some wheel spin, but it took off like a rocket and I was grabbing second before you know it. They should have a flashing launch control light or something though. We tried it the other night and you don't know when its engaged- be careful you don't do a 6 grand clutch drop with the launch control *not engaged*

Tnx. Shouldn't you be able to tell if its engage cause the rpm should stay steady at the 4k mark with your foot to the floor?
Is anything protecting the clutch here or is it getting burned up like a 4k clutch dump?
