Nav screen reads no MAP disc and I know there is one in there...I also can't get it to come out..I have NO kids, so no one else removed it...Is there a way to remove disc manually without button???
The disc probably just didn't seat right when it was inserted the last time. There is no manual eject but there is a method that should get it done for you. You need to take another CD and use it to eject the DVD in the drive. Open the nav screen door and holding the second CD/DVD in your hand try to insert it in to the nav disc DVD slot. The goal is to get the edge of the second CD to press against the edge of the DVD in the drive. Press in on the DVD in the drive a little firmly with the second CD and it should cause the DVD in the drive to either seat or eject.
I do know it works. I had the same thing happen to my radio once and this was how I got the disc out. I've also recommended it to two other forum members and it worked for them as well so I filed it away for reference.

Leave it to Paul to know how to fix something on the corvette!!!!
That's so funny...Paul, you were the first person I thought of and i was going to send you a PM...I was going to write here Paul, come out come out wherever you are!!!I also thought to try and put another disc in hoping it would trigger the eject function..You know what I did, I didn't try either!!!! haha
Thanks for the help and I will try that this morning...The disc has been in there for years, so I didn't think it had unseated itself...
Thanks, Scott
Thanks, that did the trick...I worked another disc into there and it kicked back the other...Weird how it works it way into a non-working spot...
Thanks, Scott
Absolutely my pleasure. Glad it helped. As noted, I had experienced the same problem once with a nav disc that had been in the drive and working fine. Simple solution as long as you have another CD/DVD handy. Odds are you won't see it again but no you can tackle it if you do.
