Default Clock Question

The clock did not automatically switch back to standard time from daylight savings. I looked in the OM for clock and time but found nothing. Did a search for the same criteris still nothing. Shouldn't the clock in a C6 just set it's automatically like a cell phone does?

I'm sure it's because the GM clock was designed before daylight savings time was proposed in 1895.

Setting the TimeWith the ignition on and the radio off, press the H or the
M button to enter clock mode. Press and hold H until
the correct hour appears on the display. Press and
hold M until the correct minute appears on the display.
To change the time default setting from 12 hour to
24 hour, press either the H or the M button to enter
the clock mode. Press the tune **** to select between
the 12 or 24 hour display format. The clock mode
automatically times out with the changed display
format set as the current default setting.

know of no optional setting for DST automatic reset.

I've had to manually change my clock every time. Not saying it's not possible to do automatically, but I don't know how either, if you can.

I'm just glad I can manually reset it. My SUV's clock I can't access since they loaded a new software package into it - ironically to fix the clock.

Thank you, that is exactly what I wanted to know. I am sure it is in the OM some place that is not obvious to me.

That's one of the things we have come to appreciate living in Arizona - -we never change time. Evidently, it was a concept that escaped the founders.

That's it. I am selling my car. I can't believe it doesn't do that automatically.

If you had either posted the model year of your C6 or had it in your profile, I'd tell you what page numbers to find the clock instruction in your owner's manual.

AFAIK, there's no automatic setting of time for DST in the C6.

Just wait 6 more months and your clock will be correct again.

If you get to 88 MPH, the flux capacitor automatically resets the clock to DST.

I think I remember the nav radio has that button but if it does mine did NOT adjust. Still on old time.
