Correct! And radial-ply tires were invented in 1915 and widely commercialized in 1946 by Michelin, some 65 years ago.

YES is up by 8 votes!

It will be a glorious site to see the "NO" voters have to become indentured servants to all the YES voters.

ABS said he would run naked through the streets of Phoenix if the YES votes win. Looks like he better fly his plane over to Sky Harbor to pay up on his bet...

You sure are getting a little over excited about this!

Better keep something handy to clean up your keyboard after the poll closes, lol.

I just don't understand why people would argue over this If you want an auto in a Z you can have one put in. There is at least one guy on here that has done it and is very happy.

If you want a manual just keep it the way GM built it.

You have a choice people

The main reason is that your powertrain warranty will be voided if you retrofitted an automatic into a Z06. I don't doubt one bit that GM will void your engine and differential warranty. Of course the trans void would be a given.

Secondly, one would have to go to Indiana to have this done. Since RPM is the most reputable vendor who does this retrofit.

Thirdly, the cost. You are looking at a $8k bill for this. Lastly, if you ever have an issue, you would have to go back to Indiana.

And using his same logic, GM should only produce the C6. If you want a 427 cu in engine, aluminum space frame, Magnesium engine cradle, carbon fiber fenders, huge brakes, wheels and tires, etc, you should buy the coupe and then modify it yourself. Heaven forbid that GM would produce different variations of Corvettes that different people want.

I am just saying if you want it bad enough you can have it done. Not saying its cheap or easy but you have a choice if it means that much to the auto guys.

Doesn't mean a thing really......

Remember a couple years back when everyone here was clamoring for a better interior? Well,GM made the 4LT and the first thing folks here did was bitch about it for a myriad of reasons.

If GM produced an auto Z06,people would just come up with a different excuse not to buy one.

It is nice to see so many potential Z06 owners come out of the closet.

(even if the top was NOT removable)
To answer your question, I WOULD.

I DID buy a Z06 2.5 years ago and if was available with an Automatic transmission as an option I still have bought one, WITH A MANUAL trans of course...

And a beautiful Z06 at that

Methinks this thread has jumped the shark already.

That is why GM made the GS. Sports cars (aka ZO6 and ZR1) are meant to have manuals.
