It's a waste of money, no need for a fuel stabilizer.
i agree. if you use top tier 93 octane fuel and top off the tank you will not have issues even for six months of non use. these additives are designed for long term storage. four to six months is not long term. FWIW. you can always put "av gas" in -that will last well over one year.
Mostly snake-oil for cars. Most gas blends have enough additives to revent any breakdown. I've never put Stabil in any of my cars, ranging from a '40 chev, to a '62 Corvette, 2000 Corvette or 2009 Corvette. Each can sit 6 months or more without starting and over many years have never had one single problem.
My ride on mower sometimes has gas (regular) in it from over 9 months previous. Gas used to degrade more easily than it does today. The might be something to the location you are in???
But here on the coast in NCal there doesn't seem to be any reason to use it. The boat that I had until earlier this year had 120 gallons (regular) in a not so full tank and was there for a long time, maybe 18 months. Never have used stabil in recent years and never had a problem during that time - many years ago, it was a different story/gasoline.
