I've been running mine regularly and try to at least drive it around the block when conditions permit. I haven't used Stabil for a few years - but if it's going to sit that's another story.
You should definitly use it if your fuel contains ethenyl. Some states require ethenyl in all blends, others require it only in the low grade gasoline.
Been using it for years when I put the 'Vette, M/C, boat, power washer and ATVs to bed for the winter. Also in the snow blower when I retire it for the summer. Good stuff!! Just run the motor for 30 minutes after you put it in to get it distributed into the fuel lines, carbs and/or injectors.
Of course it is OK, many of us will say that it is advisable if you are storing your car for several months!
Fortunately, I don't have that problem here in Florida. However when I lived in northern Indiana and owned a E-type Jag, I started using Stabil after that one terrible spring when the gas was totally skunked. Had to rebuild all 3 SU carbs and clean out the fuel system! When storing cars there, we shared space with boats. The storage facilites didn't let us get to our cars until the boats were coming out and it was almost summer.

Running the car has no effect on gas that is in the tank that can go bad after extened time. Stabil keeps that from occurring.

The C6 has a dual-tank system, so it takes longer to thoroughly mix the Sta-bil than you might think.
Also, I think a short drive is better -- fuel gets jostled and mixes more quickly. Anyway, it's more fun than watching your car idle for 30 minutes.
And you might be thinking it's cheaper to have just a bare minimum amount of gas in your tank... less gas, less Sta-bil... fill-up with fresh gas in the Spring.
But my honda lawnmower manual recommends filling the tank before storage... this minimizes air in the tank, which minimizes oxidation of the fuel.
That's why I fill my tank before winter storage -- in the lawnmower and my C6.

Stabil instructions say to pour oz/gal into tank then fill with gas to properly mix.
Mostly snake-oil for cars. Most gas blends have enough additives to revent any breakdown. I've never put Stabil in any of my cars, ranging from a '40 chev, to a '62 Corvette, 2000 Corvette or 2009 Corvette. Each can sit 6 months or more without starting and over many years have never had one single problem.

I never used it either till I moved south. I lived in NY my whole life and never had gas go bad on me w/ the winter months and thereafter, sometimes 5 mnths. Then I moved to Florida and had gas go bad on me 3 different times in as little as 3 mnths as much as a 8 mnths. First it was my Harley, then My GTO. Never had a problem w/ the vettes but they don't sit over two mnths. I don't know if it the additives(or lack of) or the heat here, but I have been using Stabil since my second year here due to it.

Interesting no wonder I have no problem in NY, must be Cold Storsge.
Stablil's no miracle worker, and really just inhibit's evaporation of gasoline's more volitile component's, causing the fuel to act like a lower octane number. Let the untreated fuel set for a long time, and the more volitile component's will evaporate, lowering octane, so choose your poison. Either way, best to burn though this old fuel before some serious driving or track day's. If in a pinch, you can alway's add in a few gallon's of racing fuel.
