Good luck getting anything from the insurance for loss other than just damage. I wish you luck but sounds like the damage (even though I'm sure is going to cost a lot to fix) isn't that bad. If you pay for one of the premium agencies they might work with you. If you use a discount insurer I don't think you are going to have much luck.
Maybe not so bad, if at low speed's. Think it's most important having a shop that can properly match the paint, because this will most likely affect resale more than anything. Also, if it's just damage to the car with no one injured, doubt the insurance will jack you around.
If the car is fixed properly,it won't have much of an effect on trade in other then the stigma attached.Pro fix jobs nowadays are better then new most of the time.
Just being honest here....wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. There are too many out there in perfect shape, why would I be interested in one with a history, I am also going to have to sell it one day, and explain to some potential owner the bad news.........not interested.
Wife and I tried to get a copy so we could understand never got any satisfaction traded my 09 G8 Gt for new 2011 2ss Camaro while G8 was at bodyshop.

Bell9440, Hold onto the body shop report for your records, have them take pictures for you once the body panels are removed to show the limit of the damage. They should be willing to do this for you. Once work is preformed, make sure that ALL panels align. Take it to a shop that works on Corvetts regularly and tell them up front, before the work is performed, that you expect the Corvette to be returned without flaw. If they can't promiss you that, take it to a shop that can.The above, is what my insurance company told me to do after we had an accident with one of our family cars. Impact was low enought not to set off the air bags, a good sign. Paint match is very impotant to you, let them know that. Then, let them do their work. Good Luck, I hope all works well.

Thanks for the photo. I think you are owed a Loss of Value. I suggest going to someone that buys and sells Corvettes, show them the photo and the repair est or final bill and have them tell you what the car was worth and could be sold for before the incident and then what you could hope to get for it after the incident. The difference equals your approximate Loss of Value... If some Ins Co has a forula for figuring this it would be very interesting to see it. But remember, its only there formula, nothing else. Good Luck...

Try this guy for advice on diminished value. I have met him several times, and he was extremely helpful with fender benders on my vehicles. One of the nicest guys you will meet. He also gave me much free advice each time I met with him.

That accident doesnt look bad, but the problem is that the majority of corvette owners are very nit picky and with it being a serious buyers market, they will take the undamaged one vs the repaired one. Your only hope is to take it to a GREAT body shop, pay cash, and make sure it never shows up on a carfax and never disclose the damage. If its just body parts that are screwed up that shouldnt be that expensive to fix and there are enough people doing widebody conversions on these things that you should be able to find clean used parts with no problems and cheap. There are hoods, fenders and bumpers for sale on the board all the time and there usually VERY cheap.

doesn't the ins comp. report it to carfax and not the body shop?
