Just installed BB Bullets on my LS2. The sound outside the car is amazing. Inside, not so much, the drone is killing me. Will it ever get to the point where i wont notice it? Or do I have to change exhaust?
Dude I have the same set-up with an X-Pipe from B&B and it sounds amazing NO drone. They also sell X-Pipes with resonators to control it even more.
This is exactly why I hate the threads where people say "Which exhaust sounds best" or, "I want something that has a deep rumble but not too loud" Sound is all subjective everyone has a different tolerence. Then the sound clips come and people listen and go buy without hearing the drone inside because there is no way to tell on a video.
To the OP, I agree with the rest, probably going to bug you more as time goes on than less. Hope you get it sorted out and get a different cat-back.

I put long tube headers, 3" cattless mid pipe and bullets on my wife's vert. We rarely turn the radio on just to listen to the exhaust. If its too loud, you're too old!!!
i'm going to agree here.
I'm 24. Longtubes no cats and bullets, theres no better sound then a corvette that growls when cruising and bites with you go WOT
I'll also agree bullets are not for everyone, but they are the only catback that make a "true corvette sound" IMHO.
Since you already have them on your car, leave them and let them grow on you. You'll notice once you stop pushing that pedal so hard its very light sounding.
Thanks everyone. This sound aint going to grow on me. Like someone posted earlier the longer I have it the less I like it. Can you imaging going on a road trip, sheesh. Haha, thank god I still have my stock set up. I think its going in this weekend. lol
This thread in no way is a negative bash on the product. I mentioned that I love the sound outside and the rumble. The more I read up on this, I am starting to think its just not the right exhaust for Autos, but thats just my opinion.

Oh, you didn't mention in your post that you had an auto, no wonder it's killing you. Coupe + Automatic, you may not be satisfied with any aftermarket exhaust. Some may be a little louder or a little deeper (key words are a little) so you might as well just drill some holes in your stock cans. Maybe get some DMH electric cut outs (the REAL mild to wild dual modes) from Maryland Speed.

Nope. Wait til you take a long trip. My wife constantly complained about them. You are not the first guy this has happened to.
I installed B&B Bullet's on my 06 coupe back in M6 06. They lasted 24 hours and I had to reinstall my OEM system. I posted this in a thread and it got so out of hand that it was eventually locked. Interior panels buzzed and all mirrors were useless, my ears were ringing after a 30 minute cruise on the highway.
I suppose you could always buy an Impala if you don't like the sound
Or a vette with a stock exhaust, haha. I always said that the vette was too silent. Waited forever to pull the trigger. Maybe the engineers who designed the vette actually were right on this one....
i'm going to agree here.

JSim and Tikiman.......I have the bullets and the x-pipe no cats; planning on doing the headers here shortly my question how did you bypass the sensor with no cats and does it give you any problems or "engine checklight"?
OP,
I put bullets on my car at 55k miles, I now have 80k miles and I installed the headers a few weeks ago. I drive my car everyday and do long weekend road trips with my local corvette club. Car sounds mean sitting still, crusing, or WOT. The fiance loves the sound and so do I.

I just unpluged the rear o2's. My check engine light is on right now. I'll have to get it dyno tuned to turn off the light and get the max power out of the headers.
The rear o2 sensors do not adjust anything with your ECU, so there is no problem running without them (other then the light is on).

Installed these; didn't need to turn off the rear O2 sensors. Had em on for a year trouble free until we went to NYC and the x-pipe hit the ramp pretty hard entering a parking garage, it bent the mini-cat and a CEL came on immediately. Ordered 1 new one to replace the bent one, got it two days later, put it on, CEL went away.......sounds like a NASCAR!!!!!!!

AWESOME.....so the rear O2 sensors are just to make sure the flow is good after the cats on stock headers but in which this case theres no cats correct?
