The key fob options are not available on my friends new 2006 vette.When he went to program the remote he got with the car it would not let him change the settings and the dash said options not available.He only got 1 fob with the car.I am going to buy him another 1 because me buying his car hinged on him buying the new car so i really need some help because i don"t want to give his car back.I am hoping reprogramming with a new fob and the 1 he has it will start working.Now the 1 he has will start the car and unlock the doors HELP PLEASE

The fob he has is likely a third or fourth fob programmed. Only the first two provide options of the four that can be programmed.
What he can do is have the dealer (or he can do it himself - the procedures are in the manual) clear all fobs and start over. He should also buy another for a spare.
The number on the fob (1 or 2) is for convenience and otherwise is meaningless.

Does it tell you how to clear the fob in the manual.I know they tried to reset the fob by turning some key in the mack but i dont think they cleared the fob first.I really thankfull for any help i can get her because my new 2006 18000 mile mint vette rests in your hands.I really want to keep this car.

Dam the guys car wouldnt start last night than again this morning so he freaked out.Just undid the deal what a bummer had to give him his car back.Hope we can still work out a deal.I"m keeping my fingers crossed.Thanks again for all the help this fourm is great.
