Gloves, yes you should wear them. You should also wear a helmet in case a bird falls out of the sky and hits you in the head and a nomex jacket in case the cars around you burst into flames on your way to the grocery store.

Safety first is safety always......

Gloves are worthless 99% of the time. However, in some climates, even WITH A/C, or on those days you fight A/C, top off, and it's still 50 degrees hotter than Canada will ever see, you find a half finger glove, on a long spirited drive, with a manual transmission, makes driving a little easier. Cruising to the mall? No. Enjoying your favorite curvy road? Sometimes. Not always, but sometimes. Nice to have in the "glove box" when I feel the need.

By the way, Racer. Living in Canada, don't you have to wear gloves all the time just to keep warm?

Regards,
The "ghey" guy in Arizona!

I live in Fl. It's humid as heck.
Top on Windows down with ac blowing during the day. Top off at night.
I never even considered gloves for the street!
For the track.. fine.
I'm not a big guy so perhaps a wet suit might work when my a$$ sweats I won't move at all.
Come on... I'm **** and want all the cool race stuff for my DD, but gloves .... please
Please note.. if you do the "wave" know ill be laughing inside. Not trying to disrespect... just being honest.

Use them here in the North East, but only during the winter months. I'm waiting for the first heated steering wheel, hell if the seats are heated why not the wheel?

What really amuses me is that people always post up about how "ricer" something is.

Do you guys not see how absurdly ricer it is to drive on the STREET with driving gloves? Come on.

Get yourself a different car that isn't technologically challenged and you can have it, lol.

Our XLR-V offers heated steering.

I bet picking boogers is hard with driving gloves on...well unless you wear the "go to hell" hat.

"driving gloves" for driving on the street? really? It makes me think of sunglasses wearing Burt Reynolds in a satin jacket chewing bubble gum in "Smokey and the Bandit".lol Personally, if a slippery wheel was a major issue for me I would do an alcantara steering wheel swap. But to each their own. Just be prepared for other car guys giving you a hard time about the gloves.
