announced yesterday was the 2LT pricing for all base and grand sport corvettes. the msrp of the option is $2,095.
when the order guides were published in late april , it was indicated that navigation and bose stereo are now included in 2LT.
with navigation still available ( according to yesterday's release of the price list) for $1,795, is 2LT now the deal of the decade?

no, it indicated Blose and Nav will be AVAILABLE on the 2LT, previously it was only available on the 3LT. There should be a 2LT Tech package which includes that but is in addition to the 2LT price.
Most of this was discussed in Kerbeck's thread yesterday.

3LT gets all of the 2LT plus Sport Seats, Heated Seats, Telescopic Steering Wheel, Memory Package, Universal Remote, Luggage Shade and Parcel Net. The 3LT on the Convertible also gets a Power Top.
But, you have to spend more to get the sport seats right?
That's correct. The HUD, Nav, Premium 9 speaker system were moved to 2LT basically in exchange for the sport seats which are now only in the 3LT and up.
just a question: does navigation still require ONLY a single-disc cd player? or, has it become a cd changer?
The Navigation radio remains effectively unchanged from previous years. Behind the screen resides a single DVD slot for the nav disc and a single CD slot for audio CD's. I have an iPod with over 2550 songs on it as well as a several mp3 CD's with over 100 songs each, kind of renders the multi-changer obsolete.

Talon90 will likely tell me I'm wrong but I believe GM has a contract to buy a fixed number of Nav units each year of the C6 run. With the economic downturn they haven't been building and selling enough cars the past few years to meet that contract number so now they are moving the Nav "down" model AND making it standard equipment in order to meet the contract requirements. So, most all remaining C6's built will have Nav. Of course JMO.
Please chime in here if you think I am incorrect. Last year the 1LT had the basic seats. It appears in 12 the 2LT will also have the basic seats. As I recall those were Black only. It is beyond me how Chevrolet could enhance the 2LT by adding more items yet they went backwards in allowing only the basic standard 1LT seats. So for 12 if we want the Heritage Package or just the 2 tone seats we now have to go to the 3LT which is about $4000 more. I like what they did in enhancing the 2LT but for the Life of me I cant understand why they went back to the basic standard seats. If I am not thinking correctly here please point out where I have errored. Thanks...
i was under the assumption that the seats where changing this year among all trip levels, so even the 1LT and 2LT seats should be an upgrade compared to years past.

I expect it's more likely "feature creep" -- as a model nears the end of its life and everyone knows a new model is coming, the lower tier cars start receiving more of the upper tier options to make them more attractive, to help maintain sales (yeah, I know some will immediately respond that the Nav is not an "upgrade" -- that's not how GM sees it). My last-year 2004 C5 was completely loaded, to the point of receiving the pulled-ahead new F55 option.
What a treat! The lousiest nav. system on the planet is now included in 2LT. It's like Chevy is going to force me to buy a 1LT next time around. OK, I'll install a Pioneer or Kenwood and save money. What ever happened to customer satisfaction?
