I've owned my C6 for a little under 3 weeks and I finally had my first wave as a Corvette owner. During a test drive I had gotten one, but it didn't seem as "special," felt like I was almost cheating, lol. I owned a Jeep Wrangler when I was in college, so I used to get the Jeep wave from other Wrangler drivers, well male Wrangler drivers that is, but getting the wave while in my new Vette was waaaaaay cooler
I've had two vettes, both used.. a c4 and c5 ZO6. Some of you may remember me, but I've been of the forum for quite a while since I had to sell the Z.
So.. it was time to buy a new car. I did not want to buy another used vette, and for what I was willing to spend, I would not be happy with a base model .
So, I went out and bought a new Camaro SS vert. She sure has lot's of bling and loves to take her top down... but anyway.. I digress..
So I was really looking forward to getting some Camaro waves..
Well, it doesn't seem to happen. I'm pretty dissapointed. I find myself trying wave at corvettes.. while I'm in my Camaro.. duh.. it's not a vette...
I've gotten a couple here and there...and it does feel good! I keep waving whether they wave back or not! It is really cool though when you get it back. Nice brotherhood!
I've also owned my Vette for about three weeks now. Got my first wave within a couple of days. I didn't know about the custom, so I was a little late in returning it. Before I owned the Vette, I never really noticed Vette owners waving.
I'll definately do my part to keep the tradition alive
