Looks like most people are cool with the ZHZ as I would be as long as you thoroughly check the car over. Also, I pretty sure it does not have Z06 brakes, unless someone already bought it from Hertz and modified it.
Used up? Are you kidding me? Maybe you should educate yourself before making anymore ignorant posts.
Well of course if you are going to delude yourself into believing a 50K-mile rental Corvette has been driven with some (any?) degree of respect and care, and tended to in the same manner as a cherished prized possession of a devoted owner, then my post may seem ignorant to you.
As far as my advice to the OP to educate himself, he obviously is not very familiar with the brand (ls3 'option', Z06 brakes) and he needs to learn more so he can make a well informed decision and recognize a real bargain when he sees one.
There are always better options than a rental car, especially if it's a Corvette, look elsewhere.
The ZHZ's were all I believe 1LT cars, F55 suspension, NPP exhaust automatics with the GM Performance Parts package, (rear spoiler, 7 spoke chrome wheels, stainless screens, etc.) in Yellow with black stripes and ZHZ embroidery on the console lid, black interior. The '08 cars were all coupes, the '09's were all convertibles. I've rented several of each at various locations and each one seemed to be pretty well maintained and in good condition, the last being an '09 convertible in March from Orlando that I used to attend the 12 Hours of Sebring. That car had just over 40,000 miles and had a fresh set of tires and recent re-spray of the lower body, good job, the car looked and drove very well, no rattles or vices. If the price is right and the Warranty is included, they're nice cars.
Thanks for all the response guys but how much do you think the car is worth?
It's hard to value the car but if I were to put my absolute top dollar figure and I HAD to buy this car, 25k. The rental aspect alone should reduce the cars value 5-7k in my opinion and now add the miles. But I wouldn't pay 25k for a rental corvette I would never spent what I consider serious money on one so it's hard for me to even relate.
Do yourself a favor, and don't be one of the people on here complaining about buying a junk, abused car.
Look elsewhere - what is your budget and zipcode? Let us help you find something in your area that isn't ragged out and a waste of money. It will be the smartest decision you will make - trust me. The folks on here are experts in almost every aspect of these cars and their issues. Finding this place was the smart thing to do, now take the advise of the people and let us help you find a great car in your price range.
Found from your previous post you are in Alabama. Here are a few cars within 100 miles of you with an ls3.
Wrong-o, they were all LS2 for both years '08 & '09, did not have HUD or Blose. There were 500 2008 ZHZs, all coups, and 375 2009 ZHZ Verts, all badged, all awesome ...

Wrong-o back to ya. Was LS3 and interior trim was 2LT.
Can't answer what it is worth, but remember, "Don't be gentle with the rental". I would move very slow and carefully before buying a rental car. Good luck!
Knowing its a rent a car.....why take the chance.....you take a chance buying a used vette from a private source.....with that in mind its got to be a helluva lot riskier to buy a known rent a car. Again just my opinion but think about it in those terms then do what your head not your heart thinks is right.......Good luck with your decision.....There are plenty good vettes out there....take your time and shop around!
