I agree US top gear is not that great...however this eposide looks like a winner. If you do not have cable you can watch the current week show on their web site the following Monday.

I'm sure we can write the review of this show already...
Like last night's "The Car Show" with the 'track test' of a C6 Grand Sport and Audi R8...
No specifics, but that Audi was WAY better than that cheap American car (at double+ the price)...

Thanks for posting about the upcoming show!
Tanner Foust was pretty good in the SuperCars Exposed series. I especially liked the episodes where he was cavorting with the little hotties and driving them around. That was funny.
But I am forced to agree that this USA Top Gear is kinda lame.

I'll have to set my DVR as well... I am sure they will bash the cheaper american car as usual, even though for its price it will most likely hang with if not surpass the ferarri.

I think the show is great when they test the hot cars, the other BS is juvenile and pointless (aka Skooters across Vietnam). They did the ZR1 Nürburgring episode and that was wild ...

They have great big shoes to try and fill when following the british Top Gear. Tanner would be fine as a road test guy, but the Top Gear guys are so much more than that...

It will never be the show that the UK version is. The ensemble of Clarkson, May and Hammond isn't going to be matched by the US crew (not to mention the crazy high budget they're working with).
That being said, I sure hope it has time to mature before it gets cancelled. I do believe it has potential.
If you want a really lame Top Gear, try watching the Australian version.

Should be interesting, but like "The Car Show" they are comparing a $120K car to a $230K car. Both close in weight one with 638Hp and one with 570Hp both V8s. Depending on the format the F car might have the advantage with the dual clutch 7 speed but it is out HPed by 68. But bottom line they will swoon over the F car.
But I'll watch, then we can all comment here.
