Daily driving a corvette is the way to do it. Is that the school near West and Eldridge?

I only drive my '08 when it's either daylight or dark, unless it's in between. 92,000 miles and in 47 states so far. Just having fun.

Not a DD... However, in 15 months I have 17,000 miles. That's around 1100 miles per month. Love long road trips! Not a DD, but definitely not a garage queen! One 4000 mile trip and another 5500 mile trip, and several 200 to 500 mile road trips. Corvette never let me down.

Glad to see others taking long trips touring our great country.

Heck, I don't even count a road trip if it's less than 2500 miles. Had 9 so far up to 8000 on the longest. Just got back from a 6K and headed for a short 1500 mile specific destination trip to Bonneville next month.
Leisure weekend drives sometimes rack up 500 miles without leaving the state.

I do agree that the Vette is extremely comfortable and choose it over my Caddy for out of town travel.

I definitely don't drive mine as much as I should... I'm always worried about where I leave it and things like that so I get to miss out on a lot of driving.

BUT... To me that is the way I like to enjoy mine. I like to keep it immaculate. Makes it more special every time I drive it.

Just got my first vette. For me it is a w/e car. I could not drive it as a DD. I commute 70 miles round trip each day and park at a park and ride in Jersey City. People have little respect in those parts. My 2002 Honda Accord Coupe, my station car/DD, has more dings, scratches then you can imagine and has been keyed and I park on an end spot out of the way!. I would not let that happen to my vette! So I think it really depends on your situation and where you live.

I certainly understand that. My daughter taught middle school in Patterson for 3 months before bailing out of there. Her car was vandalized and attempted theft 3 times. Once in the school fenced parking lot when the security guard took a potty break.

Yup - 2011 daily driver...I don't think the forces at Bowling Green intended the car to not do what it was born to do - be driven!

Yeah I can completely understand your situation and why you don't drive it everyday

I would probably use mine as a daily driver if we didn't have a good chance of getting the white stuff from Sept till May. Anything between Nov and Mar will stick. But since I must drive in the snow the Vette is a weekend cruiser but I probably put more miles on it than daily drivers (10-12k per year). Really around here the snow is not the main problem it is the water/snow when it covers up the stupid potholes.

My '07 will be my DD for most weather except snow. Unless I need to haul people or cargo which I have the suburban for, I'm in the vette.

But the garage is for the vettes and the truck (even though it's my most valuable vehicle) lives outside.
