BTW, love your GS

The funny thing is I was going to start a post and ask if money were no object what Corvette would you buy. I honestly couldn't come up with an answer myself. I love the ZR1 and the GS coupes and convertibles. I want one of each.

And then there's the color choices.....

Easy for me:

AW 2011 GS Vert
Twin Turbo
Forged LSx 454
1100whp
DSVettes interior
Forgeline again only with better tires than Nitto Invo.

That's it!

I will add, I really loved JSB. I debated ordering one. But when I found my '11 TR 3LT GS coupe, optioned how I wanted, and got $13K off, I had no issues.
The only reason that I didn't initially want Torch Red, was because a buddy had a C5 in that color.

Looking back, I would have bought a M6 2011 GS coupe instead of the A4.

But unfortunatly my wife had a say in all of it .. and she can't drive a stick .. and I'm not going to make an attempt to try and teach her.

She wouldn't want to drive a stick anyway, so it's a mute point.

I did make things better with this automatic transmission though .. I had Chuck CoW do a tune, and this tranny now shifts like it should have from the factory.

And I believe this car is every bit as fast right now as an M6 GS. Hell, in the 1/4 mile, it may now outrun an M6 ... who knows.

I am no 'shill' for Chuck CoW, but I can tell you that my 2011 GS runs and shifts so much stonger ...

But Ron, you may have voided your warranty! ... At this point, I really don't care. The car runs and shifts so much better than when stock, I will take my chances!

Ron,

I got exactly what I wanted. But none of the local dealers had it. Found one in Iowa and they did a dealer trade... Sweet ride!!!

I have no regrets with my Corvette and I love my Vette! It's a twenty year dream come true (thanks to my husband... birthday present) and this car means the world to me. I did my research, got what I wanted along with a few additional options which was fine. Most likely this is a once in a lifetime car so I wasn't going to settle.

My GS 3LT Coupe is what I wanted. My last two (non-Corvette) convertibles had problematic top mechanisms, and I wanted to take a break from that.

As far as price, had I only been able to afford a used base 1LT, I'm sure I'd be equally thrilled...to just be sitting in a Corvette, any Corvette.

A year and a half (and 13k miles) later still love the car and thrilled each time I drive it. Only regret is that I can't afford a second "his & hers" one.

Corvettes are like women. It’s best to enjoy the one you have. Once you start second guessing your choice you’re in trouble. I have firsthand experience. I had a beautiful Grand Sport, but went to Bondurant where I drove a ZR1 for 2 days. Now I own one.

I got exactly what I wanted but went over my budget by a large amount. If I could do it again, I'd probably have gotten a low mileage C5Z. But I love the car, so I'm happy. Just wish I didn't have the monthly payment.

When people start with the money is no object, I think money is always and object.. The way I like to phrase it is if you have $375,000 to spend on sports cars, and must be spent on sports cars and your choices were:
1 Aston Martin Vanquish
1 Ferrari 575m Maranello
1 Koenigsegg CC 8S
1 Lamborghini Murcielago
1 Lexus LFA
or
1 c6 vert
and
1 c6 GS coupe
and
1 c6 Z06
and
1 c6 ZR1

Which way would you go?

Only regret is that I didnt buy it sooner. Thats about it.. I seriously cant believe it costs so little money to have so much car.

Oh.. and Lemans Blue. I definitely wanted Lemans Blue. It was the main reason I started looking at cheaper '07s instead of LS3 '08s. Couldnt pass up the offer on the Victory Red '07 I purchased.

I had two of your Vettes previously. 1) Silver 2002 Z06 and the 2004 Commemorative Z06!
