Just had my '12 GS CE Couple tinted Monday at Classic Chevy in Grapevine. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten it done cheaper elsewhere but my time is valuable as well...had to get some warranty items fixed too (dealer is about two miles from my office). Price was $299. Lifetime warranty. I mentioned that I've seen some poor tint jobs on the vette rear hatch matrix dot area, they assured me that it would not be a problem and that their installer had been doing this for quite awhile and it would be good. So, the result? They tinted over the matrix dots on the rear hatch and it looks *very* good. I went with legal limit on the side windows and one step darker on the hatch. I don't like it too dark, I like to be able to see, but I still want to keep the sun out. Cell phone pix follow.

Actually, in my case, unless you are looking for it from a foot or two away you won't see it. My tinter suggested that I take a cloth or sponge and carefully press the tint film to the window around the dots when the film is hot (from the sun) and it is still drying (first week or so). Gets rid of most of the whiteness.

Sweet thanks! That's where I ordered my '13 GS from that should be here in August. I had a guy that used to do all my vehicles but I have lost his contact info. I don't mind paying a little extra to ensure it is done right. Plus having them do it will save me some hassle. I can just pick it up with tint already done.

you live in state where there are some of the highest cost of living expenses in the country. why does $300 sound unreasonable? have you never had a car tinted before?
