Austin to Santa Fe in a couple of weeks. Was going to add Jackson Hole to the trip but decided maybe some other day. We love hitting the road in the Vette. We've done BG to Austin and Austin to the Smokeys three times. If you've got it drive it!

Just completed a trip from DFW to Newport Beach, and back to DFW...two weeks, 3800 miles. Tried to stay off interstates as much as possible, used US and state highways as much as possible. Best drive of the trip was from Flagstaff, AZ south on highway 89A through Sedona, Jerome, Prescott Valley, Prescott, and 89 to Highway 71. Great scenery, a real drivers highway, akin to Tail of the Dragon in a lot of places. Visited my son in Murietta, CA and took highway 74 from Lake Elsinore over to I 5, and exited to Pacific Coast Higway. Made several runs between Huntington Beach and Dana Point, Irvine, and one trip to San Diego. That many miles in a C 6 in two weeks was a lot of miles for a guy approaching 70, but I would do it again next week if I could...Oh, car averaged 31.7 mpg, start to finish...saw a high of 33.8, but was unable to reach the 34s...great road car, fun to drive, and relatively comfortable for two adults and two weeks worth of luggage...

Actually when I drive the C6 and turn on the 60's and 70's music it takes me back to a great time in my younger days with the same music but the Corvette was a 1962 327 4-speed. Last of the straight rear axel cars.

With my hot bride of 37 years in the other seat, we'll be out to dinner, to the ice cream shop, short trips to our daughters to see the grandkids and other weekend trips that let us enjoy life and the sunshine. Livin the dream.

He puts on a good show.

My wife and i did a 4500 mile trip to Key West, in May, with many stops along the way. Some of you may of seen the daily log, and pics that were posted. We do shorter trips around the Maritime provinces and NE states almost every weekend during the summer months.

We both love touring in this car.

Plana are weekend to weekend for us. This weekend we're going to the Larz Anderson museum for "All American Car" weekend. Nowadays I figure the Vettes 75% content should be acceptable .

Bummer. Next road trips will be to opthamologst for cataract surgery. 30 day healing time with post-op exams. With other commitments it will be late September before The Navigator and I can go much of anywhere.

Our vette sits at exactly 4000 miles. In the two and 1/2 months we have had it we have traveled to many places in AZ. All I can say about the GS is that it is one amazing car.

About a month ago we did a weekend trip to the grand canyon. That is one amazing place.

Couple of pictures of the car at the canyon

I went 5,191 miles in 16 days in my '06. Took Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and then up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Jose. My wife flew from Chicago to San Jose and I picked her up at the airport. We went to our 50th high school reunion and she flew home a couple of days later. I drove back on Interstate 80. Best summer ever for a trip with the Vette.
