Not a completely relevant image, but I parked out in the middle of nowhere last week (1 space mind you) and some guy decided to park his dented up camaro right next to mine. I chuckled at first...until I saw that he parked his driver's side right up near me, leaving very little room for him to get out. Had to look a few times to make sure there wasn't any white paint on my door.
The guy in the Camaro is a complete idiot! Plain and simple.
You have look at this photo ( orange Vette ) , long shadows 7 - 10 AM , city traffic in the background .
This is a boss at a store that opens at 10 AM or a guy over at the ATM . Maybe a restaurant that opens at noon . I'm guessing its gone when the door scratchers start parking .
Ok so did everyone who is supportive of parking in multiple spots miss the OP's original post where he says that about 10 minutes later the parking lot started to fill up?????? Everyone keeps saying the lot is empty, but that was when the picture was taken.
Ya 4 spots is out of line... I personally take up two sometimes, but I go to the very back of the parking lot, and this is only when its not crowded... Normally I just use more tact and go for the end space and cross my fingers. Before I was a vette owner, when I would see one taking up 2, as long as they were in the back, my thought was "hey, at least they had the decency to park in the back, and were willing to walk further". Another thought I have on that is I figure if I park wayyyy in the back, the people who would most likely key my car are too lazy to park out there in the first place

Some people are nuts no matter how you park. I dropped my wife off at a store and went out toward the edge of the parking lot and parked with 1 open spot between me and another car. 3 different times a car literally flew between me and the other car and kept going and there were at least 30 yards of empty spaces on the other side of me to cut through the lot. I just don't understand the lack of respect for ANY type of car when people do this.
