Using more than one space to park your Vette (exception: car show) is just plain ignorant. I always park away from others. But, never use more than one spot.
Jerks who take up more than one space, whether lot is crowded or not, leave themselves open to whatever happens to them. You wanna protect your precious car so much, leave it in the garage.
99.9% of the driving public thinks taking up more than one public parking spots is rude, selfish and arrogant. If that's the message you want to send then go for it. BTW - This is not just a corvette thing.
Heck everyone should park like this and that way we could simply eliminate the lines all together.
OK Seadawg, here you go. These are two pictures I took while in downtown St.Pete. The red one is close to the corner 3rd Ave. and 4th Street. Out of courtesy, I blocked out his license plate but you can still see it's a Florida plate. Now granted since it's on the street and it's metered, he didn't use more than one place. But you'll notice, to the left of his car is a walk thru area, so no one can park on the driver's side of the car. The car was parked on a street that was almost empty, but since this was the weekend of the Indycar race, the street would eventually be filled up. And he was trying to protect his car. This is what I did. I parked in the last parking spot on the street so I could park as close to the line as possible on the passenger side and leave plenty of room on the other side of the car to keep someone from hitting my car............(paragraph) The yellow car was parked in a parking lot close by. But instead of parking in the parking lot, this owner chose to park in the alley alongside, which was legal. Another driver who chose not to park in the lot and squeeze in between two cars. A lot of people try to protect their cars all of the time. And have been for years. It's not that unusual and people don't think much of it.

I do the same thing when I can. I was "just sayin'" that taking two spots it becoming a bigger no-no, at least from what I've seen.
And by the way, Seadawg. I lo-o-o-o-ve St. Pete. Wish I could move there.....
I believe in taking one parking space per car. I normally try to park in a secluded spot and enjoy the walk . When I have to park between two cars, I try to park between expensive or or new vehicles.

What about those handicapped parking spaces?
Sure seems like the newest most expensive cars are always parked there and the people that I see get out have no visual physical handicap.
I cannot believe how many times i saw the word keyed in this thread. If anyone truely believes that anyone deserves to get their car keyed because they took more spaces than they should well i belive they should have their heads examined. I take up 2 spaces every single time i go to the gym on an angle too, but at the farthest part of the lot. that i will never change. i see a couple of M3's and porsche guys at the gym do the exact same thing.

I take up multiple spots because I'm morbidly obese and I need to swing my door all the way open. Did anyone consider special needs, rather than jump to THEIR own conclusion that someone is a jerk?

Here in Cali you do not need to be handicapped or disabled to use the disabled spaces. The only requirement is that the vehicle have the legally required placard or sticker. Who drives the carl is immaterial, legally speaking.

In some cases that could explain taking two spots; it never explains taking four.

But here we have members saying "thats why they hate Corvette onwers"? Seriously has anyone on this forum seen other cars parked like this? I sure have, and very few have been Corvettes.
