No matter how far away you park from the store.....

...and it's always the worst POS vehicle that parks next to you also...

The van owner just wanted to be sure they didn't get their door marked up.

At least there appears to be ample room between cars.

Being near a Corvette just makes people feel good.

They hope some of the magic is going to rub off on their worthless POS.

Or maybe they saw you driving in a parade handing out ice cream bars and they wanted one too.

I really don't get these post. Are you offended by what parked next to you. Seems he parked as well as you did. Maybe had you parked next to the Camaro he'd felt the same way toward you... Hell, the guy in the van might be as decent a person as you are.

I think a lot of us are getting tired of getting door dings and worse.

Not only do i not get these posts, i don't even see the point of parking so far away. I guess the best way for me to understand is imaging taking a **** at a stall and some dude walks in and uses the stall right next to you instead of two urinals down

I think you actually bring more attention or noticeabilty to your car when your way off in the lot if you just park with all the "run of the mill" cars your not sticking out like a sore thumb(so to speak)

Now, take that same example, but imagine the guy in the urinal next to you cant aim worth a $#!& and pisses all over the urinal, splashing **** all over your feet in the process. Now, this might not happen most of the time but you might feel inclined to use the urinal 2 stalls down next time just to keep your shoes **** free. We park a few spots away to avoid door dings caused by people with "poor aim".

Be like my friend's Z06, he takes up two parking spaces. I've warned him repeatedly that he's going to get keyed as a result. Attracts way too much attention.

Kind of my thoughts. Or, how do we know you weren't trolling the lot and parked next to him ?

When I was a belligerent youth and couldn't afford a nice car, I had a scheme to go get a junker and take it to the mall and find people taking up 2 (or sometimes 4) parking spaces and smash it into them and leave the POS their so they could see it.

Thankfully, I couldn't even afford the POS, so my plan never came to fruition. However, I am sure there are belligerent youths just like me with similar ideas out there. So, I always take one space and one space only.

Happens all the time. Last year a buddy and I stopped at a McDonald's for a fruit smoothie and parked way out in back and came back to find this.....
