Of course. Should be VERY close unless you have the 3.15 rear option.
Should be close either way if you can launch.

He doesn't have much experience with the car he is a ok driver .... I have no idea if mine has a 3.15 rear end it's not the z51 and it's a a4 ... And yes winning is everything cause he won't shut up if I don't lol

Not that the auto makes it lighter just saying I have a advantage with the auto since he hadn't much experience with his car

Just race him(on a track)
If you lose I would be surprised
Plus good shifting is a must in a stick
You should be consistent

Quite the opposite. He has the slowest version of the C6, and the mustang stock to stock has more power. Plus he has mods. I think you are going to get wacked.

LS3 Vette wins without much problem.
Yours will be very tight. I think he has the equipment advantage but nothing that can't be made up for in the driver's seat.

So, neither of you has any drag-racing experience on a 1/4-mile track?
Have someone make a video of your rookie race.
Bold Prediction : There's gonna be lots of wheelspin & tire smoke, and the "winner" will have a 14-second e.t.

If his traction control is anything like my wife's 427R, you'll have an advantage. The slightest amount of wheel spin and the Mustang basically shuts off. The Vette's isn't nearly so intrusive.

Remember, winning is not everything, it is the only thing....
With that said, You Can't Win.....
If your Vette wins, well it should have won because it was a Vette.
If you loose, you will never hear the end of it.... How his Mustang beat your Vette.
Whatever you do, be safe. Best to do this kind of stuff at a track.

Sure you have a chance to win. Comparing cars and speculating is all well and good but there's only one way to find out. Meet the guy at a drag strip and have a best 2 out of 3 (or whatever). Have fun and be gracious win or lose. Perhaps get some advice in the drag racing section to see what you can do to maximize your potential beforehand. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck!
