Got pulled over tonight
For the first time in 21 years, I got pulled over. Cop walks up...
Do you know what I pulled you over for?
Me...Yes Sir, I was speeding.
Cop...Yep, you were doing 47 in a 35.
Me, 47? Wow, I knew for sure 45, sorry about that.
Cop...Where ya headed?
Me...Home.
My wife is cracking up the whole time, almost in tears. Cop is smiling because she is just belly laughing. Cop gives her that what's going on look, so she says...
Wife...My husband drives a Corvette, and hasn't been pulled over in 21 years. I can't get past the fact that when he finally got nailed, it was in my Ford Escape.
Cop chuckles, says he's gonna run the registration, and will be right back.
My wife continues to rib the hell out of me, when the cop walks back up to the window.
Cop...I'm not giving you a ticket, but be careful the rest of the way home, these new Escapes are crazy fast
Very cool guy, could have nailed me good, but let us go on our way.

This is my third Vette, had a 2008 Coupe, a 2008 Z06, my current 2011, and had a 2011 Camaro SS in between the Z and the Vette I have now. I'm still stunned that I got pulled in her Ford, and never once in my previous or current Vette.

Yeah, I know, but he had me dead to rights, playing stupid would have been worse I think. It was easier to just fess up, and take whatever lumps I had coming.
