This is a prototype for an extension to the sun visor on a C6. I hate it when the sun hits the side window since the visor is about 4 inches too short. I have built in a notch for the homelink, and sized it so it will slide easily back an forth. Color is a good match with the black. I put in a piece of white paper to enable a better picture of the notch. It really does work nice and goes all the way across the window.
Bear in mind this is an early version, and I will attempt to improve it.
Let me know what you think (be nice now).
BTW, the response is overwhelming......

I took a refined prototype to a local auto upholstry shop and they had a good suggestion to use a visor board (flexible) and to cover it in in factory visor material.
Bad news, cost about $30/per extenstion. This seems to me to be to costly.
Thoughts?
I am also working on another option that works on a totally different concept. It will be a bit more challengeing.

I don't think that's too bad for a prototype. $30 for time and materials plus some profit seems about right. On the flip side I don't know if I'd pay $60 for a set. I guess I'd have to see them first.

Thanks for the reply, I feel the same. I did a test run on a two hour drive and used the extension. Result:
A bit unwheeldy sliding back and forth. Got hung up on the cutouts.
Didn't want to slide back in very well. A well made unit might work a bit better, but I have another idea that would be much better but more challenging to build.
Bottom line, it does do the job nicely, just a bit klunky.
