Default So Dismayed :(

Well, not really, I still have a nice Corvette.

Buuuuut, now is really the time to upgrade. I knew that I wanted back in a Z06, but I was unwilling to wait around and convinced myself I would have just as much fun in a C6 coupe as I would with a Z06. While that's still actually true, after owning a 2008 Z06, the coupe is just not up to the performance mark.

With people like Boardwalk offering HUGE savings on cars optioned the way I'd like, I'd be inclined to make the upgrade.

Unfortunately my *** had to go and get engaged!!

Guess I'm gonna have to wait. That wedding won't be paying for itself!

All in good fun, love my Fiance and we'll still ride in style to our event. But heck if you're thinking of upgrading, just do it! It'll probably be at least 2 years before a possible C7Z!

A man needs ot have beliefs and hobbies. His wife should learn about them as soon as possible, to prevent "issues" later on. Now is the PERFECT time for some life lessons. Think of it this way....get the Z, and do one less round of appetizers during happy hour. its just a monthly payment anyway, might as well get used ot it!

I'm very lucky in that respect. My fiance loves my cars and even got me in to NASCAR herself.

She's even my pit crew for the HPDE events I do!

You're a lucky man. Just enjoy your new bride and the car you have now.

You can get back into a Z later. There will always be some for sale.

Aha - she sounds like a keeper!!!

My wife has tolerated the stuff I have done over the last 42-1/2 years, but I've had to go along with stuff she likes too - it's definitely a two way proposition!!

Enjoy your Vette and your wife for many years!!!! Hopefully you'll have many more Vettes, but my advice is to keep the same wife!!

She's definitely a keeper. Any time I start talking about getting rid of one of my toys for "responsibility" sake, she tells me to pound sand. She gets pretty attached to them all!

Haha, well traditionally yes. They are making somewhat of a stink over that, so we're allowing them to contribute so long as they don't take on any debt in the process.

Remember JL, communication is key to any relationship. That is why I have ALWAYS made a genuine effort to communicate with each and every one of my ex-wives....

That's damn good advice. I'd have had many more new cars over the years if I'd have followed it.

Tell her tightwad parents to bankroll the wedding. She has been a girl all her life for goodness sake. Not like they didn't know this would happen some day.
And we will all show up for the reception!!!
