But I don't expect mature behavior from high schoolers, after all they are still children, not that many years removed from pooping in their diapers.
Um...I would like to think I am a responsible adult and I have an upgrade on my C6 intentionally....I live in a development....no complaints yet. Is your church on the curb at the street? I cannot imagine a vette driving by at a "responsible" speed would cause ANY interruption in ANYTHING....Makes no sense to me....
Are they that much louder than the ones on a 2012 coupe? I drive by all those places all the time with mine. I make it a point not to get on it when I do, so it's not very loud at all.
When's the last time you heard one?
Exactly....with any exhaust there's a huge sound difference between low to moderate RPM's and when going WOT. A little common sense goes a long way.

One man's noise is another man's music. I commend GM for trying to improve the weak sound of the stock Corvette but I think the open NPP exhaust still sounds way too tame. Pull the fuse and don't take grief from anyone....enjoy the improved sound quality of the car. You're right....it isn't very loud at all.
I have a built 12:1 LS7, headers, X pipe, off road no cats, and a switch for the exhaust. It's usually in the loud mode, but when I get into residential neighborhoods I switch back to quiet mode. Also, the drone at freeway speeds will make your ears bleed, so it's quiet mode then. There is no way I would operate it without the fuse, loud all the time. Just saying.
My open NPP seems like a Toyota Prius compared to the loud Harley motorcycles roaring through my neighborhood, and is quieter than our city buses. I wonder if some of these forum complainers are the same ones who install sound insulation under the carpet, to completely disconnect themselves from the experience of driving a sports car. I'm pleased to learn that the NPP switch will be factory installed on the new C7, and will have more than one adjustment setting.
