2009 z51 vs 2010 gransport suspensoin question
Looking to purchase one of these cars. In your opinion, which of the two cars would offer the plushest ride.

Your question might not be understood since there is no thing such as a Z55.
There is a Z51 package and an F55 suspension.
Please restate your question.

The F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension uses “Magneto-Rheological” electronically controlled fluid shock absorbers, each with the independent ability to go from virtually no dampening to solid dampening, or anywhere in between, at the rate of 1,000 times per second, governed by a dual-processor computer chip, based on the car’s speed, steering-wheel angle, wheel travel, braking, lateral acceleration, and outside temperature. The result is a quieter, flatter, smoother ride with more responsive and precise handling, especially during sudden high-speed maneuvers or when traversing large bumps or dips at speed, and absorption of pavement imperfections without sacrificing road feel. A console **** allows instant selection of “Tour” or “Sport” settings. The F55 option also includes larger cross-drilled brake discs.
The 2010 Grand Sport didn't offer the F55 option and has an extra-firm suspension suitable for autocrossing, but providing a rougher than normal ride.
The Z51 suspension option was similiar to the that on the Grand Sport, but came with smaller wheels/tires thus providing less unsprung weight, which woud provide a slightly more comfortable ride. In addition you will have a wider replacement tire selection with the Z51 optioned car, which would also allow you to influence ride characteristic to a greater degree.

The 2009 Z51 and 2010GS suspensions are very similar, in theory the GS will be just a little stiffer. Neither will be a plush ride.
Both the base car and the GS (2011 and later) are also available with versions of the F55 magnetic suspension; and both will be softer in Tour mode than either of your previously mentioned cars. IMHO, the base car with F55 in Tour is sometimes a little too floaty but you might like it, the GS with F55 in Tour should be just right for me. But they will cost more- newer car with ~$1,500 option.

I doubt that you could tell much difference in the rides of those 2 choices.
