While I believe the Z51 is one of the best valued options for the corvette and I would not own a corvette without it. I personally, do not like stickers or badges on my cars unless it represents a model. I am also glad to see the return of the Z51 option in the upcoming C7. With that said, I do not criticize those who do, it's just not my preference.

This is what is so great about the internet. You can go to this or a lot of other sites and get great information, or get told what you are allowed to do to your car, get bullied by the big bad internet bullies and you get where I am going.
I don't understand why some people get so upset at what others do. If you own a Z51 and don't want a badge, sticker or what ever on your car that is fine, don't put them on. But just because you don't like them does not mean that others don't. The vendors seem to sell a lot of them or they would not be causing such a stir.
I traded by 2001 coupe for a 2007 3LT with the Z51 option. It happened to have the wide body kit on the rear and the Z51 badges on it. My first plan was to remove the badges, but I have been to a lot of different shows and cruise ins and ran into a lot of Z06 owners, and not one has agree with me that I need to take them off. In fact most have said that the car has the option so there is no miss representing anything. So now after 9 months they are still on the car.
It seems that the internet is where you get all the hate, not in real life. Now maybe some or even all thought they should not be on the car, but no one said it to my face. Lets face it, the vast majority of the general public cannot tell the difference in a base, Z06 or ZR1 and many have no idea what the differences are, they simply see a Corvette sitting there.

Sad but probably true...LOL...most people only care about the difference between a Corolla and a Camry or a Civic and an Accord.

First of all let me say that I can't believe I read all of this BS. lol. GM "Likes" to Badge their option groups on their car......take the Camaro for one SS and Z28 are both options and they both got badges. They were option packages to the camaro RS. Ford Badged all of their Option packages for the Mustang??? I just wonder why GM did not Badge the Z51? and if ya really want to get down to it the Z06 was an "Option code" originally so why all the fuss? I drive a Z51 and I bought that optioned car and wanted nothing less. Did I "Badge" it no, have I thought about it, yes, will I do it ????? If I do badge it will I give a rats a$$ what other people think LMAO what do you think . I think all you guy's that play these silly games should be grateful that you have a Corvette, any Corvette is a step above all the rest . OK children now Flame on.
