This popcorn thing is trite. What's the point, really? To say you find the thread boring and redundant? Then why not just stop reading it? People that are participating in the back and forth banter are doing it because they want to, or they find it interesting. Yes, sometimes that includes me.

i think you missed the point of the popcorn. It is to stick around to see others posts. Like watching a movie. They're interested in what others are saying. That's how i take it...

or, maybe i got it wrong...

Suffice it to say that people are now aware to pay attention. A lesson learned. I'll keep my opinion to myself.
Second, I began inquiries with the dealer/salesman on March 20th. I exchanged 20 emails and 4 phone calls with him. However, it wasn't until I started the actual purchase process on March 26th did I find out about the 700 miles on the 'new' car. My initial reaction was to cancel the deal. After thinking about it, I decided I would consider buying the car, but, at a discount. The salesman assumed a negative attitude and essentially said we were done. Well, I had cash to buy a car. I lucked out and found another car I wanted. Except it wasn't his. That is exactly what I did.
Good on you ! I did exactly the same thing on a supposedly "new" Corvette a dealer had in Sacramento that had 700 miles on it.

How far out of your way did you go?
