This popcorn thing is trite. What's the point, really? To say you find the thread boring and redundant? Then why not just stop reading it? People that are participating in the back and forth banter are doing it because they want to, or they find it interesting. Yes, sometimes that includes me.
or, maybe i got it wrong...

That's what I thought it was too. A quick way for people to subscribe to the thread so they gt email notifications when someone posts.

There are several questions being asked and I think I need to answer.
First, the dealer was not named for a reason. As I previously stated, I cannot prove there was a lie or omission. Making an accusation that can't be proved is legally and morally irresponsible. Suffice it to say that people are now aware to pay attention. A lesson learned. I'll keep my opinion to myself.
Second, I began inquiries with the dealer/salesman on March 20th. I exchanged 20 emails and 4 phone calls with him. However, it wasn't until I started the actual purchase process on March 26th did I find out about the 700 miles on the 'new' car. My initial reaction was to cancel the deal. After thinking about it, I decided I would consider buying the car, but, at a discount. The salesman assumed a negative attitude and essentially said we were done. Well, I had cash to buy a car. I lucked out and found another car I wanted. Except it wasn't his. That is exactly what I did.

Just like everyone who took the trouble to reply to your post and help you, the benefit would be in you helping us . We went out of our way to respond to your question, I would think the courtesy of sharing the information about the dealer so we dont have to go through the same , should not be much of an imposition on you
