here is my latest experience: driving on the highway doing about 70, I see another black corvette on the opposite side (about 6 lanes worth of distance over) also doing about 70. He has his windows open. I do not. He waves. I see it, reach for my window switch...he's gone. If it was anyone on here, sorry, I would have waved if my window was also open.
Man that happens SO much I have trouble admitting it. That is traffic for you, isn't it?
I'm 28, bought my first corvette at 24. I always wave. Generally get a wave back.
About 2 weeks ago, I had the Z out, and had an older guy pull up behind me at a light. Yellow Z surprisingly enough. I gave a wave and he clearly got excited that I waved and was giving me thumbs up along with the wave.
I wave at every corvette I see but I've come to realize that a lot of people have no idea what I'm doing. I imagine the conversation in their cars are like "Do we know him?". "No I don't think so.". "Don't make eye contact and pretend we didn't see him.".
