The C6 is a great Corvette....the C7 will be even greater! For those that hate the C7 now I would bet very many of them will be future owners. I didn't like the C6 that much when it made it's debut, I thought the C5 was better looking. I have now had 3 C6's. A C7 will be my next Corvette!
C7 - tailights - C6 - Keep - C7/C6 - C7 - beautiful - C7 - sucks! - C6 - Great - C7 - C6 -C7 - C6, C6 forum - C7 forum - I love it - I hate it - I won't buy it - I will -and a partridge in a pear tree.
I know eventually I will get a C7 - probably in 5 years. Just bought a used C6 and having lots of fun. I like the new interior. The only aspects of the car that I'm not crazy about is the back end and the vent in the hood. Other than that the car looks great. I guess the vent can be painted to match the hood.
Wow that's an intelligent statement. Did you think of that all by yourself or just rip it off from Racer? The OP has had 15 Vettes and your going to slam him like that? Everyone is entitled to their opinion and he is no different. Of course if you're a liberal it's a different story. Hey Troller I've only been on here for a couple of years, is it OK with you if I post something now? Is my time up yet? Maybe everyone should have you screen our posts first and then you can OK the ones you agree with. BTW what is a neeebie? Troller is a perfect description.

One's length of time on this forum in no way is a reflection of their knowledge of Corvettes. Being the owner of 15 of them, in my opinion, gives that person a lot of credibility on the subject of Corvettes.
I'm not drinking the C7 Kool Aid at this time. I'll try to remain objective until after I see one in person and drive one. The back end is like a bad acid trip imo, but a lot of the styling is very nice going forward (less the stupid fangs in front).
I'm glad I bought the 427, I really love this car, but knowing my penchant to change cars every 3-4 years, I will probably go Porsche (used) 911 before I would go for the gimmicky C7.
The C7 seems to be influenced by the Ferrari body style, yet Ferrari chose to stick with the round lights. The new Porsche 911 still looks like (991) a Porsche 911 even though updated (over the 997). The C7 back end looks to me, "Hey let's forget about the signature Corvette style, let's just go in a totally new direction".
To me you're getting off a winning signature/style. Porsche has updated 911 to the 991 but still looks like Porsche, Harley (110 years old) still looks like a Harley, Ferrari still has it's signature round lights, Corvette C7's back end looks very similar to a Camaro and takes away from the Corvette signature imo.
I admit I'm new to the Vettes, but there is something about tradition with updated electronics/suspension, technology, etc. Look at the Peterbilt 379, the Harley Davidson Ultra, The Porsche 911, the Ferrari, all iconic vehicles that retain their signature characteristic though greatly updated. Heritage & timeless style! There's something to be said about 60 years of Iconic tradition that you don't simply take for granted and abandon. JMO

Reason: type o
The Corvette will continue to evolve just as it has done for the past 60 years. If you want to keep your C6, all I can say is the C6 was a real special car. I like my 2009, it looks great and the performance is world class...it's a modern classic.

That may be the saving grace of the style change. Where else are you going to get comparable Corvette performance at Corvette prices (Answer: No where)?
P.S. If ever I did keep a car long term, this would be the one! It is the most fun car or vehicle I've ever owned. I absolutely love the LS7, the truck tires (so wide, I can't believe it comes stock), and the really smooth style.

Have a situation... Good-one as per a lot of folks problems.... but:-)
I so want to NOW more than EVER keep my C6, I waited and we were so pumped-up, as per the C7, WTF, is that (Rear) about? Seems like they tried to Push a Camaro off on us... I have so tried to get over this, and the rest of the car is well...no words for it- (Wonderful)....
They lost a Corvette person here, as per this car..... Will keep our C6,
and enjoy her, If we wanted a Camaro, I'd purchased one!!! and.. since I am on a roll-LOL
"It's a good thing Arkus-Duntov is long gone; he'd be ashamed to have his name associated with this".... Just an old mans view, and had 15 Vettes:-) Please tell me if I am wrong, Just hate this!!! Bob

You are wrong! The taillights are 1% of the car. I've had many cars, and none were 100% to my liking. They don't design cars specifically for me, or you. I didn't like the square taillights on the C4, the big butt on the C5, or the faceless front on the C6, but I bought 2 of each. Each car was better than the last, and the C7 is better than the C6 in many ways. And BTW, the cylinder deactivation won't kick in if you use the sport mode.
Count me on the side of C7 is cool. I'd prefer no cylinder deactivation, but I'll eventually have a c7 anyway.
I have to agree. The rear doesn't bother me, well maybe the lower panel a little, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker. For me, the overall car is great, especially the interior where I tend to spend most of my time. The cylinder deactivation was an initial concern, but I'm sure GM determined it was necessary for CAFE. At any rate, I have several friends with Tahoes and Yukons that tell me it seldom activates, and when it does, it's transparent.
My position is that I currently have two trouble-free C6's that I like, I'm a convertible buyer, and I don't buy new. With the C7 convertible six or eight months away and a good used one another year or two after that, I'll keep what I have for now. I have no doubt that, eventually, there will be a C7 in the garage.
The back of the C7 looks bad ***!! And doesn't even remotely look like a camaro IMO
There are subtle similarities, but they look less alike than they did in the last generations. Funny that nobody ever compared the impala, cobalts, Camaro taillights before when they were a lot more similar. The C7 is awesome and looks far different than the Camaro.
I have one question!! Why are so many people trying to sell the idea that the C7 looks good to those of us who don't like it?
Because you're crazy
Just kidding
It doesn't bother me if someone says they don't like it and prefer the C6 (especially when I have a C6). What gets me going is when they say it looks like a Camaro because all they can do is focus on small details in the whole package. Even then, it's a stretch
