Default Garage Progress

Hi all

Not exactly about my C6 but the C6 is in couple of the photos so I figured I'd share.

I Started working on my mezanine these past couple of days. I will have a 12x20 room behind the lift for auto body /paint work on my mustangs (so I don't get dust every where else in the garage). There will be a 9x10 office / craft room next to that, and then up top a 10x12 enclosed wood shop (again to avoid dust everywhere), and a 10x26 living room / entertaining area for friends (poker night, super bowl, etc.) or kids when I'm out at the garge working on the cars. Let me know what you think.

Looks like it's going to be a nice setup. Can't wait to see the pics of it completed. I wish I had a space that large to set up for everything too.
Congrats man and waiting for finished product

Is your wife kicking you out ?

that is a heck of a nice garage, and plenty of toys to fill it

I have an angel for a wife.

This whole deal was her idea.

Started out with she wasn't overly thrilled with the constant dust in the garage at the house from restoring my classic mustangs so we bought this garage condo.

Next she figured out it was really nice on weekends to have the kids out at the garge with me (helping / hanging out) but she knew there wasn't a dedicated place for them so she said it was time to build the mezanine but we needed an enclosed body shop room and wood shop so I didn't get dust over everything else.

Then she said as long as we are adding a mezanine a nice sized living room would be nice for a man cave type setting.

Yesterday when I showed her the set up she then added we need to get you some old gas pumps, vintage signs and some neon lights when finished.

I still think I'm dreaming, this is not supposed to be this easy. I had to work ten times as hard to buy the vette 5 years ago.

Like I said, my wife is an angel.

That is really nice. I looked at building a 28 x 40 last year, but choked on the cost. It's as expensive per sq. ft. to build a pole barn as it was my house 20 years ago.
