I'm open to the possibility that black wheels work on some cars but I have yet to see any black wheels that I like and most of the time it kills the car. I refuse to spend big bucks on black wheels that seem to disappear when installed on the car.

All the black stuff hung on most of the C7's is a real downer for me. It was only after I saw a few without the black wheels and black roof that I began to realize that they just might work for me.

So...you think Kerbeck is out of touch with todays fab? A look at their inventory seems to prove chrome is so 2014.

Chrome will never disappoint you on any color......I'm the big kahuna of the Chrome Dinosaurs Club......our job is to educate against the use of all black wheels.............and we are in sync with joehenry and agree that if you had black wheels back in the day....means you could not afford chrome.....we also like reversed chrome wheels with baby moons on them......

Im younger and most of my car friends went black rims. But something about the right chrome rim . I think its just something different to be different right now.

I can honestly say I have seen some damn ugly black rims on corvettes, but I have not seen any ugly chrome rims. Even those damn c5 wagon wheels didn't look that bad chromed.

Certain polished/chromed black rims do look awesome though, especially on black or blue cars.

I don't think it has anything to do with age. As a matter of fact I grew up with cars that had chrome everything, and I'm pretty old school on a lot of things. I probably thought it was cool then, but now I don't what anything chrome on any of my vehicles. It's like I developed an aversion to it somehow. I'm even worse with red interior, and have to turn away.

I'm not sure about the black wheels though, since with most of the photos you see of guys showing their cars off with them, it's hard to actually see the wheels. I do think they would be great for track wheels. I guess I'm more taken with the un-polished aluminum look personally. Plus, there don't seem to be many chrome wheels on race cars.

You have to right on top of black wheels to see any detail. It's a waste of $$$ to chrome race wheels. Cheap is good.

Chrome in the right amount look fantastic on any car. Black wheels on black tires (all we had back in the day) belong on the spare...

The no contrast look fails in most cases...well like others say, if you're 12 you like it if you are dirt you don't.

el cromo for meeeeeeee

I've been in the younger half of the CF age polls but count me an "old guy" then.
