Right! I couldn't afford chrome mags back in high school in the mid 60's on my 4 dr. 57' chevy but I did have baby moons on black rims.

It depends on the color of the car. I have seen both chrome and black look good and like $h!t on different Corvettes. I think black wheels look great on white and Orange for sure. The loaner I got to use looked great with black wheels and chrome wouldn't have worked IMO.

Chrome, chrome, chrome, stick with chrome. Chrome makes anything "pop".

Chrome wheels just reinforce the whole "gold-chain" stereotype of Corvette owners.

Show me other high(er) end cars that come with them. Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, Gt-R, M-B, M3/M5, etc... - NONE come with that cheese. Hell, even the ZL-1 and GT500 don't even offer them. Definitely done by GM to appeal to the graybeard market that continues to buy the majority of Corvettes.

$$$ can't buy taste, but either way, it's your car, your choice.

I prefer chrome but even they can look like crap if the owner does not paint the Top Hats, clean-up the caliper, and clean and/or re-paint the wheel barrels.

Chrome has never been my fancy personally- I like the darker rims (gunmetal or black).

I get why people like chrome, just not my thing. And in my opinion, darker rims make the color pop more because they contrast more- but that may just be me. Still, either way you go it'll be a sexy machine no doubt. I suppose it's a personal preference more than anything.

Although I'll say I definitely support and encourage chrome in the engine bay.. Always makes it look good!

Default chrome

Chrome or highly polished polished aluminum will always look great. Grey painted aluminum wheels are awful

I like that look. It has the pop of chrome and the dark accents.
