You did your best - & I'm sure will look fine.
Little else to do - since Corvettes were not designed for a front plate.
A plate on a pointed front end - is like putting a square peg in a round hole.
I don't use my front plate. I have only been pulled over once and it was by DPS. City cops can care less I have noticed. Luckily I don't see too many DPS and when I do they are driving the opposite way on the freeway. Doubt they would try to turn around and come after me.
Funny thing was I was pulled over this year from the DPS. I was driving 5mph over on the freeway. Radar was going off and then I see this other car coming by me at least 10mph. So he was doing a good 15mph. Passed the trooper and he turned his lights on and was like "Oh that guy is busted for speeding" I keep looking in review mirror and then notice he gets up behind me. I was like "What??? Seriously! That guy was hauling ***." Gives me a no front plate ticket and a warning on my reverse cam cause it was covering Texas on my rear plate. Douche!!
I got it dropped cause I have my front plate and just stuck it on and showed the prosecutor my picture. Told me I am free to go. No fines. Just 2 hours of my time. Still don't use it. Ruins the car's look.
Here in Ohio it's 2 plates.I use the front bracket from Zip,easy on easy off.Mainly put it on when on the interstates, don't like the look either but not takin the chance. Are you guy's from Texas allowed to choose different colored plates? The white plate really stands out, would't choose that one.
I got mine from the corvette museum store for $16. It fits under and behind the front grill. Technically, you have a front mounted plate. I have never been stopped, neither has a friend of mine with the same kind.
Anyone running Vararam with the top flight mount? Doesn't that prohibit the air intake flow? i bought one of those motorized flip jobs but unfortunately they are made cheap... mine stopped working a couple days after I installed it and from other reports I'm not alone.
