Like I said, I'll be glad to post what ever information I get.
If it's anywhere within reason, I'm very seriously considering either the '63 SWC, or the '67 L88.
Damn, I wish I was 30 years younger!

Keep your C6, buy a nicely restored SWC and with the money left over get a Harley.

I just had a chat with a person at Karl Chevrolet.
They will get back to me with the cost of a full body conversion, using my '13 GS.
I asked for a price quote for a '63 SWC, as well as a '67 L88.
I also specified no drive train mods what-so-ever, just the body conversion.
I'll follow up here when then get back to me with the information.

Good luck with it, certainly not to my taste, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, especially in this case

You're right, this isn't for everyone.
However if the posts on this thread is any indication, it seems that nearly everyone thinks these conversions are awesome.
The only thing stopping most folks, is the cost.

Yeah I saw one of these in Fort Worth Texas on base (Carswell NAS JRB) in 2007 it was very nicely done. If your wanting attention, this will get it!

These look really nice in the photos. No sure that I would do it to my car, but just saying that I like the looks.
I have seen a couple of the C5 conversions made to simulate the '53-'54 model here in the Clearwater Beach area. I didn't care for the look of those.

Different strokes. I'm not a fan. Oh and Hammy, it's UTTERLY ridiculous, not "uttery."

I can understand why someone would do that conversion.....that being said....it isn't for me. I think a 63 SWC restored original would garner as much attention.
Put a C7 side by side with that conversion and see which one gets the MOST attention.

I have seen them a couple of times in person and IMHO they just dont look "quite" right to me. For that kind of money, I would have a new Z06 in the garage next to my C6
